x40 external DVD drive solution?

#1 Post by bigtiger » Tue Jun 27, 2006 10:28 am

I do not like the idea of an ultrabase now as it is kind of bulky. Anybody has a solution? I am thinking if there is any cable that will convert a regular ultradrive into a external usb drive.

Not just a cable, but a very slim case that fits 12.7mm tall drives. See this thread for more info:

not cables but enclosures, and they do work with the normal dvd laptop not with the ultraslimbay.

i chosed an lacie dvd-rw slim, for 150usd with 2 yrs warranty i think is a prettt good deal

Thanks dorin and mysbca, the slim case looks very good to me. I will work on that.
