Bluetooth Audio device not being created

#1 Post by docfxit » Sat Jul 01, 2006 12:04 pm

I have a problem when I add a bluetooth device to my A31p. It doesn't add the sound playback & record device in Control panel Sounds and Audio devices under the Audio tab.

I'm running XP Pro sp1 without the xp firewall and with ZoneAlarm
In Device Manager I do have under Network Adapters, Bluetooth LAN access server Driver running ver. 1.4.2.8
In Network Connections I have Bluetooth Network Enabled when the radio is turned on.
In My Bluetooth Places I can run the Bluetooth setup Wizard and select I want to find a specific bluetooth device. It does find the Motorola H700 that I am trying to connect. I highlight it and click on Next. It asks me to select the service I want. It offers Dev B - Establish a virtual serial port connection with a remote bluetooth device. The first time I ran this I selected this. The second time I ran it I didn't. It doesn't seem to make any difference.

Does anyone know if I should or should not select this com port configuration?

When I did select it I did not select secure connection.

I then selected finish.

It does create a shortcut in My Bluetooth Places for the H700.

I do pair pair the device just fine.

If I right click on it and select connect it does say it's connected on COM6. If I go into Control Panel, Sounds and audio devices properties, Audio tab I don't see a selection for Bluetooth Audio under the playback or the record pull downs.

What can I do to get the Bluetooth Audio devices?

Thank you,
