Cannot Find Fingerprint Sensor Device (CSS 7.0/FP 5.5)

Anyone have an issue with their fingerprint sensor device where the system is unable to locate the fingerprint sensor device after installing CSS 7.0 and Fingerprint software 5.5? My system was actually working for a few days with CSS 7.0 and FP 5.5 but then randomly last night the system was unable to locate the fingerprint sensor device. Tech support suggested I reinstall the Fingerprint 5.5 software due ensure my fingerprint sensor drivers were installed correctly, which I have done a number of times now (probably several dozen). There was a slight glimmer of hope as once the system did recognize the fingerprint sensor but then proceeded to throw up a number of other errors, so I had to reinstall again. Since then, each time I have not been able to get the system to find the sensor.

I test whether or not I can get the fingerprint scanner to be recognized by trying to enroll new fingerprints or running the fingerprint tutorial under the Control Center. Each case I get the "Cannot Find Fingerprint Sensor Device" error.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would certainly appreciate it. Happy 4th everyone!

Try reinstalling to factory and then call tech support, they will ask if you did that. I know it's drastic for some but, it levels the field, clean install, software that worked at one time, etc.. Good luck.
