(H) R31 - DVD-RW upgrade

Is it possible to mount into my ibm R31 any of the regular slim dvd-rw?

for example: SONY DW-Q520A or NEC ND-7551

im littlle bit confused about the ultrabay thing.. if it can fit inside

I assume it's possible... I'm using a DVD +-R/W from a Dell machine in my A30 without a problem.

It's an old GSA-4040b that had the frimware updated. I just took it out of the Dell carrier and added the ultrabay 2000 connector and rails to it...

After trimming the Dell front (Plastic) of the drive to fit the slimline profile of the Ultrabay the drive dropped right in. Bios saw it with no problems on boot. Loaded NERO 7 and it reads and writes CDs/DVDs no problem.
