Just call up EZServ. I had the same problem and they sent me one with no questions asked - at least after I explained to them why I was sure the fan was making the noise and not something else. A replacement arrived next day, and I made an appointment with a local authorized repair center. They replaced it while I waited - in about 10 minutes. Or you can replace it yourself if you feel confident doing it.
