FS: Apple PowerBook G4 15", 2GB, 120GB, DVD-Burner, Wi

I know its not a ThinkPad, but thought I'd offer it here anyway.

I recently puchased a black Apple MacBook as a repplacement for my 12" and 15" PowerBooks, and to my delight have found that it makes a terrific replacement for the 15" as well. The 12" is already sold, so I'm offering up my 15" for sale.

It is a 15" PowerBook G4 with a 1.5GHz PowerPC processor, 2.0GB RAM (max), a 120GB 5400 RPM hard drive and FOUR batteries. I'll also throw in a pair of extra AC adapters (don't really need them anymore), a very nice Brenthhaven case and an iSight camera with the mount and cord.

In place of the combo drive that it came with is a Pioneer DVR-K05 dual layer burner. This is about the fastest laptop burner out there, is very quiet, and is fully supported for Apple's iApps. In addition, I flashed the drive to Region Free, meaning it will play DVD movies from any region requiring only a software utility (included) to reset the operating system's region change clock. Apple's M a t s u s h i t a-brand SuperDrives are rated at 8X but rarely deliver faster than 2X burns. The Pioneer routinely burns at 8X regardless of media, and is quieter and more reliable than the M a t s u s h i t a drives.

The 15.2" widescreen has a resolution of 1280X854, the backlit keyboard with an ambient light sensor, sudden motion detector to protect the hard drive and the scrolling touchpad. The computer is in absolutely like-new condition, though it is no longer under warranty. The system board was replaced by Apple about two-months-ago (while under warranty) to fix the "lower ram slot defect" that was common to these models. After the repair the machine is absolutely flawless.

It will come wiped to original software load of OS X 10.4.2 and iLife 2005 (its just a bit too old to have iLife 06, though I can try and copy it from another Mac if you want).

The machine is barely over an inch thick, weighs 5.6lbs, and with the four included batteries can travel very well.

I'm hoping for $1400 for the whole package, but will entertain offers. Sorry, no trades, I already have enough computers.
