need help with DW8 not launching

Dropped in a Hitachi 60gb 7200rpm hdd in my newly aquired Thinkpad A20m and started loading on all my apps. All is well except for dreamweaver 8, which will launch up to its splash screen, then immediately close. no error message. no nothing. i've uninstalled/reinstalled the app with no success. any ideas?
