motherboards on ebay....experiences?

The motherboard on my 2378-FVU (64mb 9600) is screwy and I have to replace it, however it is out of warranty. I see motherboards that have 64mb or 128mb sometimes on ebay. Anyone have experiences with this?

What are your experiences with installing the motherboard? I have the service manual in hand but wanted to know of any gotchas.

My experience was good.

There are some threads that will help you on the upgrade.

My hint, write down the unit serial number before removing the old mobo.

You will need it.

I got the serial on the back of the case.

Good for you when I upgraded my mobo the label was damaged and I had to call IBM and thanks god they were able to provide it to me.
