USB icon displayed in the sys tray

#1 Post by gkarthik78 » Fri Jul 07, 2006 3:04 pm

Hi ,
When ever i log into my T60 laptop..the USB icon is displayed in the systray even though i have not connected any USB device explicitly.
when i double click that ... it is showing following info...

HL-DT-ST DVD RAM GSA 408SN [D:]

i think its refering to CD/DVD drive.. (i am not sure ) ..but why should it be treated (or connected thru) as USB

Thanks in advance...

Regards,
Karthik

Are you sure it's not the "safely remove hardware" icon, which will show all removable devices?
