I have had enough of that screen back in the 1990s to last me until well past death.

Still, since we're on the topic, if anyone here is still running Windows 3.1, 95, 98 or ME, here's a fun little utility that lets you change the color of the BSOD:

ThinkPad T60: 2GHZ CD T2500, 3gb RAM, 14.1" XGA, 60gb 7k100, Win 7 Ult
Latitude E7250: i5 5300U 2.3ghz, 12gb RAM, 12" 1080p touch, 256gb SSD, Win 10

There are BSOD screensavers as well; gave one of my friends quite the shock when I installed those on his system. He kept taking the BSODs literally and rebooted the machine whenever he saw one; it actually turned out to be quite hilarious as the screensaver timeout threshold was a period of inactivity for 5 minutes. He asked me for help and, needless to say, I blamed his system (Dell M60) after making it look like I went through everything, and recommended he get a Thinkpad. No suprise, the BSODs stopped all of a sudden with his new Z60t.

Never underestimate what you can get people to do with the power of the For...Computers. :D

That and a number of other "issues" I pointed out; "Wow, sure is taking a long time to come up!" ; "Hmmm, disk I/O on the M60 is pretty laggy, you know"; etc. :D

There were just too many "issues" ( ;) ) and they all got in the way of "proper operation" as I informed him. Besides, he needed a hardware refresh anyway. :)

I should have made a screen shot of my R52 harddisk failure screen that day. Then i can use it on my T60 as my desktop wallpaper and screen saver.
