Clearing password off of hard drive

#1 Post by Bgradid » Sun Jul 09, 2006 1:11 am

I've got a 4gB hard drive here that I swiped out of a 560z of mine, however, its password protected.

I'm guessing that because its password protected, my USB enclosure doesn't seem to be able to read its partitions/data

The usb enclosure works fine for my 40gB laptop hard drives I have, so I know that isn't the problem.

I'd very much like to get it recognized so I can install the windows setup files to it so I don't have to do the whole floppy drive / network mess I normally have to with my CD-Drive-less 560z :)

Put it back in a thinkpad, type in the password, go into the bios and set it to blank password. Otherwise throw it away.
