765D lcd in...anything other than 7XX series?

a friend of mine saw me messing with my thinkpads last night, so he comes up and says hes had one laying in his car for months...a 765D. it has the same size screen (or so it appears) as the 570 and 600 series- i have a feeling that i couldnt put the 765 lcd in one of those machines, it seems that the connectors are in different places...is it possible?

i see these machines arent worth much, so if i can get use out of anything it would be great.

It might work. They are both 13.3" LCDs and both are XGA capable of 1024x768.

You could always try it....if you dare. muwahahaha

i just might give it a try. im gonna end up with two laptops with broken screens, but you live and you learn!
