WTB: New T20 Battery (New Cells!)

#1 Post by Dark Savant0 » Sun Jul 09, 2006 9:47 pm

I would like to know if anyone has a T20 Battery with new cells. It should have close to a 4 hour battery life. I can leave heatware if you need me to.

Will pay for shipping to Charlotte, NC. Looking for one in the neighborhood of $50 shipped. Must accept paypal and ship same day with Insurance. PM me ASAP if you fill those qualifications or close to them and we will strike a deal!

I wasn't aware that a T2x battery could hold a 4 hour charge.

You might want to look for a T30 battery, but even still, I am not sure that they will last for 4 hours...unless you just have the laptop on with next to zero process running.

I think the longest I have had a T30 battery last was just at 3 hours without wireless....Word only.

You could also try dimming the screen and shutting it off frequently when not in use....but that shortens the CCFL backlights' life as well. 4 hours is a long time to be on battery if you are a T2X, even with a fresh T30 battery.

That was quick! I already set something up with someone. Thanks.

They do apparently last 4 hours (according to thinkwiki anyways) in some models.

check out www.batteryrefill.com, i found it through some random link, i think their ebay store. i'll probably buy something there if i ever need a battery. you won't have to worry about date of manufacture and getting 'old' cells

I am guessing just idle, but even then, it would be around 3 with a dvd playing.

Battery Refill does not accept paypal according to their site (doesn't say they do, but I error on the side of caution).

This topic can be closed since I found what I wanted.

dimming it shortens the life- or turning it off/on excessively? but then if you leave it on more, your ccfl won't die as quick, but the lcd itself will...ahh!!
