Atheros 5004 on T30 REGISTRY VALUES?

#1 Post by skitty4gzus » Mon Jul 10, 2006 8:28 am

I have a t30 I just recently installed an Atheros 5004 on. I believe there is a setting or something that is either off or turned down because I dont have very good signal strength at all. Can anybody give me a snapshot of what their registry looks like. Or does anyone know the particular string in the registry that might cause this? I added the 2 strings from a link i received with the card when i bought it. That was "supposed" to ENABLE turboG mode, but under AC it still says 54g. Do you have to be connected to a 108g router for AC to see the card at 108g? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Yes, you must use a 108G router to get 108G connect speed and thruput.. you need to upgrade(swap) the router for one that transmits out at 108G speeds. Without the faster router, you've put a racecar engine into a Yugo..

I understand you need a 108g router for 108g transmit speeds. The question is will AC detect the card as being a 108g card without a 108g router?
