FS: Brand New Thinkpad T43 14" SXGA+ 1400x1050 DVD-Writ

#1 Post by bri » Mon Jul 10, 2006 1:55 pm

I wasn't sure about the build quality of new T60, so I bought both a T43 and T60 to compare. The T43 is now up for sale, it's not even a week old and the battery has never been used. It will come with an extra semi-used 6-cell battery (original is 9-cell) and I can include a Mini-Dock for $70.

Model # 2687D3U
Intel Pentium M 750 1.86 GHz
512 MB RAM DDR II SDRAM - 533 MHz
Memory Specification Compliance PC2-4200
60 GB - 5400 rpm hard drive
DVD±RW / DVD-RAM - plug-in module
14.1" TFT active matrix
Max Resolution 1400 x 1050 ( SXGA+ )
ATI Mobility Radeon X300 - PCI Express x16
Video Memory DDR SDRAM - 64 MB
Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG
Fingerprint reader
9-cell lithium ion battery - 5.9 hour(s)

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Limited warranty - parts and labor - 3 years
Manufactured in June 2006.

SOLD

If it makes any difference, it has the coveted NMB keyboard and a Hydis LCD panel.

$1250 is a tad too high by about $250 or $200. It has only a 1.86GHz CPU, 512MB, no listed Bluetooth, and a 60GB 5400RPM HDD. :)

Yes you can buy a new barebones T43 for less without the same options, you can even buy a barebone T60 for $1000, what's your point? This one is $1599 on lenovo.com, it's the cheapest one with 1400x1050 ATi x300 and the cheapest one with DVD-Writer. If someone doesn't need those and the full 3 years of warranty I encourage them to go ahead and buy your T43.

$1200 shipped for forum members and I'll upgrade the ram to 1GB. $1150 shipped without battery or ram.

did you not buy from a legitimate seller, or are customized units not returnable? either it isnt returnable, or it is and you just want to make a couple extra bucks (which doesnt fly on here) lol..

good luck.

jeez how am I going to make money at 30% off and when no dealer authorized or not sells it for less than $1500? It was bought from an authorized dealer, the serial number can be scanned for warranty status, and it is not a custom unit. No resellers AFAIK accept returns on Thinkpads, or may with 15% restocking which is unacceptable.

at the price you're selling it at, you'd lose more money than paying the 15% restocking fee. 150 dollars per 1000 dollars.

if you paid 1500 for it, and selling it for 1250, i'm sure you can figure the rest out.

or just hold onto it and sell it when fall comes around. That's when all the back to skool sales are. :D
