IBM Software Installer, update connector? Aerial display

Hi

More questions..........

Is it best to use IBM Software for the updates, or XP updates?

Whats the easiest way to turn on/off my wireless (so that it turns off the lighted aerial below my display?)

Microsoft for regular (non service pak) updates, IBM for Service Paks and device drivers....

left click on the Wireless Connection Status Icon in the Toolbar, and select "Turn Wireless Radio Off"

Left click gives 3 options:

turn wireless radio on
enable automatic radio control
power save mode

There doesnt seem to be turn off............even though light is still on!

Any ideas?
