Need some suggestions

#1 Post by NS » Tue Jul 11, 2006 11:26 am

I am going off for a vacation next week. <--Military re service again.

Other than bringing my thinkpad along, i need to ask all users from USA. What is the season now? How many pin holes are there in the hotels? Do i need to bring any electrical transformer to convert the electricity for my thinkpad. I bought my TP in singapore so it comes with a 3 pin plug.

Any other things i need to bring? E.g: TP battery, loads of plastic bags and ... bla bla bla... :-)

Any more suggestions before i log off and go to bed?

Thank you

I can answer your most basic question: It's summer.

Yes... :(

I'll try... in the US, we have 3-prong plugs and receptacles. Go to this page: http://www.leviton.com/sections/techsupp/nema.htm

Look at the first row in the second table ("2-pole, 3-wire grounding")... the figures marked 5-15R (receptacle) and 5-15P (plug) are most common here... nominal voltage here is 115VAC at 60Hz.

Good news, people staying in USA, California get to see me personally...!

this will include lodging and round the whole island trip for 1 week.

i will try every means and ways to come down to florida to look for Bill and get his signature engraved on my T60. :-)

3 pins plug. Never mind, i will get the whole package down and use the plug transformer for everything and i don't need to waste so much brain cells thinking what plugs i should bring there.

{Ahh... i will bring my T60 and loads of batteries along. Now i am stocking up my batteries supply. Bring 5 packs, should be enough for the plane ride from singapore to california, right?}

1st time to California, so residents from there, pls tell me more about california.

thank you.

Most important: get Bill's signature on my T60. :-)

Florida, palm city? Is it far away from California? How long do i need to get there from california?

Nice to have a mod from california. Thanks Chris. :-)

Oh no...

Ah, well; that is a charming place to meet. Takes care of one problem that might have to have been dealt with afterward too! :D

What place is that? Emm.. i think this is not the correct address. Smells something amiss.

Never mind, when i reach California, i will use my TP and hook on the internet and start calling you to come down and meet me at your local cafe or restaurant. :-)

Right now: i need a TP signature from the senior admin of this forum, BillMorrow. Must sign or engraved on my tp. :-) How much is Bill's signature?
