Serial blasts rock Mumbai

A series of bomb explosions rocked the suburban railway system in Mumbai on Tuesday. Reports of bomb blasts have come in from between Mahim-Matunga in north-central Mumbai, Khar, Jogeshwari (both in north-west Mumbai), Borvali (north Mumbai) and Mira Road (in Mumbai north, in Thane district), at a time when the suburban commuter traffic was its heaviest.

Police Commissioner A N Roy has said 90 passengers have been killed in the blasts, and 250 injured. PTI reports that the blasts took place in a span of 30 minutes in first class compartments of suburban trains.

the count now is 147 dead. it was odd that it wasnt the main story on all the news networks this afternoon. they focused more on rumsfeld with yet another surprise visit to afghanistan.
