I have a fresh machine (R&R disk) and ran partition magic. Resized the main partition to 60G, made a 20Gb Fat32 and at the end created a 10G unformatted. Set the 10G as active, put in install disk. Everytime I get to select a destination I have nothing to select.
Also tried the guide and ran diskpart, still nothing to select. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
EDIT: Had to go into disk utilities during installation and 'Erase that partition.
Select a Destination hangup

YEP, there is a "simple" fix.wareynolds wrote:I have a fresh machine (R&R disk) and ran partition magic. Resized the main partition to 60G, made a 20Gb Fat32 and at the end created a 10G unformatted. You need to set the install partition for OSX as type "AF" using Acronis (it calls it "Shag Swap") or other tools. Then you need to run the Disk Utility in the OSX Installer and choose to "Erase" the OSX partition. Once that is over, you'll install just fine.
A lot of times just trying to erase will fail with an "Unable toMount" error if the partition is not set as AF first... your mileage may vary...
