My apologies in bumping an old thread, but I wanted to point something out. If anyone comes looking for an ultrabay battery (or any used battery) from the seller in that link, I would advise against it. I purchased one from him and it had 300 cycles on it, and wouldn't charge half the time. He sent me another after I complained, this time with over 300 cycles.
Better off buying new.

It clearly specifies that it is a 3.2 AH battery. Obviously, these are just nominal specifications, but they should be qualified with something such as "original specifications were". Also, what does a good charge mean in scientific terms?

hah good question. i emailed an ebay seller yesterday about his batteries that take not only a good charge, but a full charge. he replied saying the one he tested lasted an hour.Thinkpaddict wrote:what does a good charge mean in scientific terms?
i think they're trying to say the battery meter shows 100%, and that is somehow indicative of how long it will last..

As the battery you quoted is supposed to be a 3.2Ah capacity, that means it should provide 3.2 amps of current for one hour. Or 1.6 amps for two hours or 0.8 amps for four hours. If you get substantially less energy out of the battery than that, then I would say it is not taking a good charge.Thinkpaddict wrote:Also, what does a good charge mean in scientific terms?
