X20 runnind on Windows XP HOME sp1 little report
Well, just after effort tryings, finally ran windows install on windows 98 by pressing winnt32.exe directly which whole i386 was copied to d:\. It installed very smooth, not likely to last time using winnt32.msi to install, hangs all the time.
The installtion including auto config was finished in 45mins, just the length of time as a soap opera~
And, with the help of 192mb ram, the fresh xp on x20 was extremly fast. Comparing with my desktop ACER Aspire 500 with P4 2.6 and 512mb, the startup time even close to it or can say is faster than it(maybe too much rubbish temp file).
so, replying to the question of"does x20 worth?", i can surly say, YES!
*one question, X20's LCD seems designed as 800x600, but windows defaulty set as 1024x768 and it was smooth and looks beautiful, isnt normal or strange?
---------thanks for reading-----------

Actually, some X20s came with SVGA, which is 800x600. See the tawbook.pdf_erazor_ wrote:the x20 is designed for 1024x768 !!
