thinkpad a20/a21 eeprom chip orientation

#1 Post by energizer » Sat Jul 15, 2006 8:55 am

I recently removed my eeprom from the thinkpad a21 motherboard. I wrote down on a piece of paper where pin1 was located. I planned on replacing the chip the same day but I had to take care of other matters. When I came back to it, I realized that the paper with the pin orientation was thrown away by accident. Does anyone know where pin1 of the eeprom goes on the thinkpad a20/21 motherboard (close to the square grounding tab or away from it)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I was going to replace the chip to repair the board.
