R51 motherboard in T41p

I have a non working T41p. I would like to replace te motherboard and have seen posts suggesting an R51 motherboard would work. What would I loose other than the video card by using it? will the wirelss and bluetooh card work still?

Yes you can use it the only thing that you will miss will be the 128mb of video other than that bluetooth and wifi will be the ok.

How much cost the mobo you are considering to buy?

don't shoot me if i misremember but the R50p is the same "guts" but with the 15 inch display..
not sure if the display connectors are the same but the HMM will sort out that issue..

there SHOULD be remaining warranty on that.. have you tried checking..?

I did check, the unit is a refurb so there is no warranty left. i found the bottom half of an R51 with XP Pro COA for $225
