Thinkpad Dock

#1 Post by j-dawg » Mon Jul 17, 2006 11:11 pm

I've lost the key to my Thinkpad Dock (fortunately not with my computer in it) and I still want to use it. Can I just take the dock to a locksmith, have him unlock it, and then leave it unlocked? Or is there some other clever way around this?

Well, I suppose I could try that, but I want to bypass the lock altogether. You can't take out the key when it's in the unlocked position. I figure if it's unlocked and there's no key, there'll be basically no way to lock it ever again without a locksmith or a proper key.
