Memory parity error: any solution?
Memory parity error: any solution?
Hi folks,
I got my first blue screen from IBM. It is annoying. My T60 is with factory 1gb that I didn't upgrade. I was doing excel and it's gone. Is there any reason or solution for this error? Thanks.

It seems that NHC was the problem. After shutting down that the problem seems to disappear. I may have set the voltage too low. But interestingly enough, i've never had a problem with NHC when on AC. This is the first time in a while that I used it on the battery and that seems to provoked the problem. Does it make sense that using battery differs from AC in causing problem with low voltage setting of NHC?

No, No, forget about NHC. The error occurred again even without running NHC. Now i'm suspecting whether this is related to using on battery. Since I haven't noticed this at all while I was using it on AC(95% or more). So now I'm testing again, doing same task; but on AC. I'll keep it posted.

I have similar issue, happened twice so far, both with AC on:

That's telling. But unlike your case, I haven't had any problem for about two months. Now I suddenly have them; so want to figure out what triggerred the change. If that is not the battery, I suspect that could be bios; since I downgraded to 1.04 yesterday from 1.07 that brought some malfunction with hibernation and standby. Let me test for a while with AC on and, if the problem persists, I'll upgrade bios to 1.05 or 1.06 to see if that solves it.hugo wrote:I have similar issue, happened twice so far, both with AC on:

I just upgraded BIOS to 1.07. 24 hours since then, no blue screen so far. I think this issue might be caused by software.heiss wrote:That's telling. Very interesting. But with 1.07 I couldn't use standby nor hibernation. Do you know what your previous version of the bios was?

Do you mean disabling powerplay will enable me to use hibernate and standby?jjesusfreak01 wrote:Try disabling powerplay in the ATI control panel.heiss wrote: Very interesting. But with 1.07 I couldn't use standby nor hibernation. Do you know what your previous version of the bios was?
