T42 - I got PC2100 memory ? is that normal?

#1 Post by vijeshmehta » Thu Aug 12, 2004 3:36 pm

I got my T42 2379dxu and the parts list says the following :
512MB PC2100 CL2.5 NP DDR SDRAM SODIMM F
The IBM.com website where I ordered the thinkpad says:
System memory
Memory (RAM) std/max[8] 512MB / 2GB
RAM slots total 2 SODIMM
RAM slots available 1 SODIMM
Memory speed 333 MHz
RAM type DDR SDRAM
Module specifications PC2700
What gives? did they give me slower memory?
