What KEYBOARD is this please? and another thing...
IBM THINKPAD T20/T21 KEYBOARD
Part no. 02K4961, FRU no. 02K4980
This keyboard came out of my Thinkpad T20 when I installed an English keyboard. I am not sure what keyboard this is, as the part nos etc do not seem exactly right for Spanish, but that is what I suspect it may be - although it has the £ sign. The above part nos. are those on a label on the underside of the keyboard.
I want to sell it but really need to know what it is! I have looked on the Lenovo keyboard part numbers but can't see either of the above numbers listed.
Can anyone trell me what keyboard this is please? Thanks for any help.
And while I'm here, I have been using the above T20 laptop for a couple of years, but I'm blowed if I have yet found ANY use for the bigger, central 'button' below the 'left' and 'right' mouse [track point?] buttons. What ever is it for? Nope; got no manual!

General use within Windows is to place the cursor in a document window, click the middle (blue/purple) button, hold it down and then use the Trackpoint to scroll the document up and down. Requires the appropriate mouse/Trackpoint drivers if I remember correctly. Sorry, I but can't shed any more light on your keyboard FRUs either.duncan wrote:...but I'm blowed if I have yet found ANY use for the bigger, central 'button' below the 'left' and 'right' mouse [track point?] buttons. As for the middle button...when you are using the internet (IE/FireFox/Opera) or Microsoft Word, you can press and hold the middle button then move the trackpoint up or down, it will allow you to scroll rather quickly up or down the page. It works similar to the scroll button on an external mouse.
I personally don't use it very much, but there have been times when it has been useful.

Duncan,
Thanks for e-mailing the images of the keyboard. It appears to me to be an Italian layout but the FRU does not match anything on IBM's site (but you knew that
). The key was the "TT-ITA" on the label on the back side. Your picture of the keyboard matches what IBM shows here:

If I find more info on the FRU you posted, I'll report back here.
