IBM thinkpad usb problem

hi.... i'm new here,,, can someone help me in my problem about my IBM thinkpad t43?

my problem is when i plug any device in the usb port my laptop won't restart or shutdown...... it stock in the same blue screen( not the blue screen of death)...


can you help me please....

Does your USB device work properly when you plug it in the USB port of T43?

If it does, try "safe remove" of the USB device first (there is an icon on the right of the task bar), then restart or shutdown your laptop.

See what happens.

i already do that but still the same my laptop did'nt restart or shutdown...

yap all the devices i used in that usb port works fine...
