T42 Weight?

#1 Post by Nitehawk » Fri Jul 21, 2006 7:01 pm

I just weighed my T42, and it weighs in at 6lbs. i thought these guys were supposed to weigh something like 5.3. anyone else actually weigh your notebook? This is with the 6 cell battery.

EDIT: this is a 14" T42 2373 with the SXGA+

Must be Canadian pounds or something.

My T41p with a 9 cell battery and multi-burner comes in right at 5.5 pounds on my shipping scale.

14.1" SXGA+ T42 with dvd drive should weight at about 5.0 pounds/2.3kg. Are you sure yours weights 6lbs?

Check the calibration on the scale as well as the units. :)

It should be around ~5lbs

well on the same scale my X40 comes in at exactly 3.2 lbs. with the extended battery. which is what it should weigh. hmm, i should try another scale i guess.

I think the same, mine is a T42 with a 6 cell battery and cd/dvd in the utrabay, it weights 5.5 lbs exactly in my scale... maybe it's been fed with some sort of ultra energized voltage...
