Email Bruce at scosgt at worldnet.att.net
He has better deals on the T23....upgraded more than what you posted for slightly less money....also very trustable and good to do business with.

Whatever you decide to do, do NOT, repeat do NOT buy a T23 with the 30 gig drive! We replaced 10 T23 30 gig drives within a 60 day span. Plus getting a replacement from IBM can be really slow and often you get a refurbished drive and you don't have any choice in the matter.

IMHO, stay away from the IBM/Hitachi drives in multiples of 30 (30, 60).

30 gig drives - what a strange post

#6 Post by scosgt1 » Fri Aug 13, 2004 6:23 pm

What a strange post - I did have one 48 gig 5400 that went bad - happens
But when the drive is in a warrantied machine - you get a replacement the next day!
And if a machine is 2+ years old and the drive passes the DFT, well there goes that 30 day theory!
PLEASE DO NOT PM
My handheld device can not access PM's and I will not respond.
