MobileMeter Shows 2GHz Processor Often Running at 1.20GHz

#1 Post by Peter Babelfish » Mon Jul 24, 2006 5:14 am

Help Please,

Recently downloaded MobileMeter. Find that it reports my 2.0GHz processor running at 1.20GHz. In the round it looks like the processor spends half its time at 2.0GHz and half at 1.20GHz. This happens all the time other than just after bootup; so whatever is causing this seems systematic.

Why is this happening? Is there any problem that needs solved? If so what is the solution?

battery maximizer is set to adaptive or medium. i keep mine on slow, so it always stays at 1.2. if its on adaptive or medium, it switches depending on what you ask of it. there is no harm in running it on adaptive- it will stay cooler when its not needed, and get right to work when it is.
