Frequently, the screen of my T60 stops working after waking the laptop up from 'sleep.' This also sometimes happens when I start my computer. The screen is just a bunch of random lines fading in and out. The weird thing is, that the Lenovo logo loads perfectly, as does the "starting windows" page. But then the screen goes crazy before it gets to the finger scanning prompt. I then have to shut down the computer by holding the power key, restart. Sometimes, when I restart the screen still doesn't work, and I have to restart it in safe mode and do a 'system restore' to get the screen working properly again.
I downloaded the new BIOS. Is this a problem that others have had and how do I fix? The machine is 3 months old.
I am not an experienced PC owner.
Thanks,
Adam

Can I simply swap out my T5500 CPU in my 1953CTO T60 with a T5600? Or my T2400 core duo in my 2623D6U T60?
