R32 Kernal_Data_Inpage_Error

So, i just replaced the HD on this laptop with a Samsung MP402..(something) 40GB ....Installed WinXP pro,

Runs well (if slow...only came w/128MB) until the HD starts getting really active... then a strange kinda musical clicking (but not like the "click of death") starts and XP either freezes for a moment or the Laptop shuts down, displaying "Kernal_Data_Inpage_Error"

From what i've read, this is some type of paging error..

Is there something i can do? I've run CHKDSK (no error), but Samsungs HUTIL gives me a WDOSX_tophys() error, and says "sside.dll cannot handle this case"????
