Screens: T20 vs T21 vs T22 vs T23 ??

#1 Post by kstuart » Tue Jul 25, 2006 12:11 pm

Hello,

In other words, was there any improvement in the T2x standard 14" XGA screen during the years of the T2x series?

Or is the T23 screen identical to a T20 screen ?

I have noticed lengthy discussions of the minute differences between different manufacturers of keyboards used in the same Thinkpad model, and so I was wondering if that were different 14" XGA screens (perhaps by different manufacturers) made during the run of the T2x series.

(I'm not referring to different physical size or different resolution, hence my reference to 14" XGA, the most commonly found screen)

The screen on my T22 and T23 are very similar. However they are way brighter and better looking than my T20 screen. The T20 is yellowed and the pressure spots are real bad: both maybe just age.

Pressure marks?

;D What have you done to your screen :p

I got a new LG notebook the other day and I've got a tinny scratch on the screen already but it's so small and you can only really see it when there's nothing on the screen and you angle it awway from yourself.

I don't know about the specific parts used in each model, but from my experience the T23 screens are brighter than the T21 (only one I can compare it to in the T2x series). Also, all T23 screens that I have seen have a slightly bluish tint to them. Not too bad, I actually prefer to the more yellowish/reddish tint of other computers.
