system out of mini dock did not suspend or woke up and HOT

I am pretty sure my system suspended out of the dock and 2 hrs later when i got home and took it out of my bag it was so hot and windows was off and would not come back until i put it in the freezer for 5 min to cool it off. anyone having this problem?
