change the BIOS boot spalsh

#1 Post by markgreene » Thu Jul 27, 2006 8:14 am

Has anyone changed the BIOS boot splash on their T60? I would LOVE to do this but I cannot find anything that guides me through it except for an article at ThinkWiki.org that tells me how to do it on a T43.

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_ch ... ash_screen

Would it be the same except for a different BIOS?

didn't try it, but the bios offers option

Hi,

I have not tried it myself and see no need to do so,but:

BIOS update 1.07 (none CD Version) offers the option directly. No need to use any floppy drive emulators as described in the Wikipedia articles no more. The BiOS update unpacks itself directly into a folder and gives one direct access to the picture converting tool.

V1.09 allows this too, but the compressed size must be 10KB or less - do other methods get around this limitiation?

I'm wondering if anyone has the default splash screen. I'd rather edit that as I'd just like to add user information instead of creating a whole new splash screen.
Thanks!

I do not see where to download the non-bootable version of v 1.06 for the T60 2623D7u.

A little help?
