Student discounts?

I have a question about student discounts and buying the laptop. I received an education model for being a OSU student, and I'm not too pleased with the thing, and its too late to return now, and I want the better models they also offered. am I allowed to get a different model, and give my fam the laptop, or do they only let you get one notebook, which wouldn't really make sense because what if you actually really wanted to upgrade? Thanks.

Within 30 days, you can return the laptop to IBM for refund or credit towards a more expensive laptop. Just call the phone number on the invoice to arrange to ship the laptop back to IBM.

I guess after 30 days, you will just have to buy another unit. I know IBM audits education purchases but I'm sure two units won't raise any red flags.
