Bare T20 for abt US$150, worth it?

#1 Post by naro » Wed Aug 02, 2006 12:41 am

hi guys,

T20
NO CPU
reconditioned mainboard, personal warranty 3 months.
NO ram
NEW battery!
No HDD
Adapter
14.1" LCD, slightly yellowish

i've got an offer for the above for US$150, do u think its worth it?

cos i've got a spare P3M and 2 x 256mb PC100 sodimm ram which i can't offload.

i've some spare hdds, which i can use. so US$150 for a bare T20, worth it?

If you have the spare parts that you can't unload, then it might be worth it, so that you can turn around and sell a complete system for about $200, which will help you offload the other parts.

If you were building from scratch, and having to track down the CPU, ram and HDs, then I would say no....especially since the LCD is already yellowish. This is an early sign of a fading backlight.
