Disable Installshield Update Manager

#1 Post by bri » Wed Aug 02, 2006 10:21 am

Is there a friendly way to kill this thing? I unchecked the boxes for checking of updates and it still pops up once a week telling me I MUST get updates, yet I click to get updates and it says there are none. Pretty useless application that does nothing. I see ISUSPM and ISSCH in the startup list which seem to be associated but not sure which one it is, rather see if there is a dialog box somewhere I can set instead of edit the list.

open msconfig > startup. There should be an entry for the scheduler. Uncheck and reboot.
