I just bought one off Ebay for 5$ straight, thats the CMOS battery and shipping for 5$. He said he will ship it today. 20$ is a rip off. The battery itself without wires is no more than 3$ at Radioshack. You can go the other route, just replace the battery. Heres a link I came across the other day.

Heres the link to my ebay auction. He sells it for 2.95 but I offered 2.05 to get 5$ straight. I paided with Money Order.

Replacing the CMOS battery is a two-minute operation (if you're really slow). With the laptop fully powered off, unscrew the memory cover on the bottom of the laptop, locate the red/black wires coming from a small connector which leads to the battery that is held in place with a small plastic tab. Remember which side the red wire is on. Remove the connector, remove the battery, put the new battery in place, wrap the plastic tab over it and then plug the small connector in. It can only go in one way. Screw the memory cover back in place and boot the system. Set the date and time if needed (if you are replacing a totally dead battery to get rid of the 161, 163, 192 boot errors).
The battery should only cost $3-$5. Like Saysana13B said, any more than that is a rip-off. However, I would not suggest using a store-bought CR2032(?) battery and taping the wires on simply because it's not worth it in the long run. A bad contact on the battery can lead to difficult to diagnose problems. DO NOT under any circumstances try to solder the wires on the battery. Explosion can occur. Get it repaired right the first time and it should last another 7 years or so.

Well, I would recommend a replacement battery which already has the wires/connector welded on. It will be wrapped in yellow or black plastic. It can either be a genuine IBM battery (more $$$) or an aftermarket one (less $$$). The IBM part number of 02K6502 should be printed on them. They way you know you are getting the correct type of battery with the proper connector.jc457 wrote:If i don't buy cr2025 what should i buy
If you are going to buy a standard lithium battery and tape on the two wires (least $$$) then the one you want should be a CR2025. Be careful that you put the RED wire on the + side of the battery and tape it firmly up with no exposed part of the battery (metal) showing.

Your question is a little ambiguous ("that battery") so I'm going to answer this in two ways:
The replacement battery I was referring to is the type that Saysana13B pointed out in the eBay auction. Generally, eBay is the cheapest place to get these types of batteries since your local Radio Shack probably does not carry them. A computer repair shop may stock them, but again, you will be paying a premium for them. Of course if you don't have any eBay account or can't wait the three to four days it might take then your other "on-line" option is to buy them from a web site which deals with computer batteries. There are literally hundreds (if not thousands) of sites selling these items. A search for "IBM 02K6502" will net some. If you are not comfortable, or you can't order on-line, then your option is to go with a standard, off-the-shelf lithium battery and attach the wires/connector yourself.
A CR2025 battery is usually stocked at places like Radio Shack, camera stores and drug stores. Locate the cheapest one and follow the instructions outline in the post by Saysana13B. It's not what I would do, but if it is correctly done, then you may save a few dollars and some time. But if you have problems later on (like boot errors or strange system issues), then the CMOS battery would be the FIRST thing I would check.
