#1 Post by ParzanM » Fri Aug 04, 2006 11:10 am

what is the best thresholds to set to keep you battery life long. not in hours but years so it last longer. I have read a few threds and some were suggesting start charging at 50% some were saying 75%. Anyone got any good info on this?

I start my batteries off by giving them a few full drain cycles. Once thats done I go about usually draining them - I use my batteries on a daily basis.

For storage keep your batteries at like ~40%. They tend to keep pretty well at that level.

Check out http://batteryuniversity.com/

Long and short of it is: Store your Li-Ion batteries at %40 charge, at low temperatures (but above freezing).
