i got a t42 and i was setting up power options for my battery.
For Highest it takes it to 1.8Ghz- for adaptive it does its thing- for low it takes it to 600Mhz and for Lowest it takes it to 600Mhz too. is there a problem with my software? i thought if lowest was 600 then low would be about 900Mhz-1.2Ghz or so?
does anyone have the same problem?

I just use ThinkPad Default, and my T41 stays on 600MHz all the time *unless* the CPU is needed. Then it jumps to whatever it needs (normally 1.8GHz) and then immediately returns to 600MHz. That is by design, works well, and keeps the machine cool. The spikes of high speed are very short in most instances.
