T60p SATA Slim Bay: anyone swapped out their drive yet?

#1 Post by randyrants » Sat Aug 05, 2006 1:39 pm

Hi all,

I've had my T60p for a couple of months now: been a great experience!

The only thing that I haven't done with the T60p, that I've done with the my old T41, is swap out the Slim Bay HDD. I have a requirement to test different OS's and dual booting isn't an option...

The question is: can any notebook brand's SATA work in the Slim Bay? The drawer I have from my PATA may or may not expose all of the ports that it needs to, but that's OK - my concern is the drive itself, as that's kinda pricy! :?

Anyone done this before?

Thanks!

as I said on the other thread already, the t60 supports both pata and sata drives in the slimbay.

it depends on the kind of adaptor you have.
