Power Adapter Temperature: 45-50C when charging?

#1 Post by ThinkBlack » Mon Aug 07, 2006 1:41 pm

First of all, thanks to this forum. Before ordering my T60-2623D6U back in June, I did research and learned a lot from this forum.

Secondly, comes to question: I set the battery to start to charge at 40%, in order to save battery life.

At this moment, it's charging, and I just unpurposefully touched the power adatper, it's like 45-50 degree celsius, anyway it's kinda of more than "warm". Btw, the room temperature is roughly 25C.

It could be just normal condition. Any input?
Thanks in advance!

PS: The AC adapter is 90W 20V Lenovo with FRU P/N: 42T5000

same here, gets warm when charging from the lower voltages then gradually will cool as it finishes.

Exactly, especially at low voltage, high temperature!

Thanks to you both!

Yes, mine gets quite warm as well, however I am quite disappointed as it's just not warm enough to keep my coffee cup hot....
