I'm curious too. Sometimes my t60p just loses connection for no reason, even when the mouse sits right next to it. Would a firmware update fix it? I'm hesitating to upgrade it since my t60p works quite nicely now

i was experiencing the same problem before. occasionally, my v270 will disconnect which will require me to reboot.
i have not had that problem for a week now. what i did is to uninstall setpoint, uninstall the enhanced bluetooth driver, reboot, reinstall the enhanced bluetooth driver, double click on the bluetooth icon on the taskbar which will prompt installation of several BT drivers, update the bluetooth firmware and using "my bluetooth places" - "search for devices in range" and then connect my mouse. It hasn't disconnect since then.
In my case, i think its the "setpoint software" which is the reason for the disconnection.
Hope this helps

I don't use the SetPoint software either. In case you still can't find the mouse after hitting "Search for devices in range" try pressing the reset button on the bottom of the mouse and while it's blinking hit the "Search for.... " button again.

As reported in other threads, I also have the problem that the V270 mouse occasionally loses contact. When it does I have found that:
  • -- Trying to reconnect using My Bluetooth Places or SetPoint invariably leads only to silly error messages.
-- Going into Standby and out again usually reconnects the mouse. That's a quick solution and acceptable if it doesn't happen too often.
-- Otherwise I have to reboot.
I know that one can use the v270 without SetPoint, but then one can't fully configure the mouse. I find wheel click = backspace very convenient.
Current: T60p (2007-93G). Previous: T23 (2647-9LG).

I had similar problems with the logitech bluetooth mouse on my T60. When installing the setpoint software, it requested an update for the T60 bluetooth driver (on 2 new T60's). After updating both the firmware and driver, I had still had problems requiing tedious re-discovery or rebooting. Problems totally vanished when after a clean installation without the setpoint software. The mouse works perfectly now and automatically is recognized after full shutdown, hibernation, or sleep, with no hang ups. There seems to be a problem with the logitech software and the T60 drivers.
