TP570e - Assistance with repairing/reseating ribbon cable

#1 Post by Sentinel » Wed Aug 09, 2006 11:34 am

The screen went blank, white in color.
Assuming it is the ribbon cable connecting the LCD to motherboard.

Q: How do I take the keyboard out to reset/reseat the ribbon cable?

I took all of the screws out, with no luck.

Have you downloaded the hardware maintenance manual?

Yeah I have the manual, I may just be having a problem because I don't exactly know why the plastic strip at the top won't come off. But from looking at it again, there appears to be a screw under the right hand side.
