System Migration Questions

I recently got a t42 and I would like to transfer some programs and settings from my old computer. What exactly transfers? I would like to transfer my outlook from my old to my new computer so I dont lose my emails and contacts but does it transfer programs like that or not? Thanks!

Windows XP has Files Transfer Wizard, but I like the Thinkpad Migration app better. If you bought a new hard drive and want to clone it, I just used Acronism and a USB hard drive adapter. Went from a 60GB to 80GB HD and it's working great!
