Battery condition still OK?

#1 Post by Hotbrick » Wed Aug 09, 2006 2:03 pm

The cycle count of my battery is already 151.

Design capacity: 71.28 Wh
Full charge capacity: 62.48 Wh
first use 2005-8
Remaining time at 100 percent is +/- 4.5 hours :D

This is still pretty good if you look at the cycle count isn´t it?

Nothing is wrong I was just surprised that it is still in this condition after a year and I was wondering if it´s common for TP batteries and what other people´s experiences are.

That is an impressive battery life considering age and the cycle count. :D

It´s a 9-cell Sanyo IBM-08K8198; nothing special I guess.
Battery MaxiMiser running.

I often have the AC connected and always leave the battery in. For a long time I thought this was wrong to do but I´m a bit lazy...so never disconnect the battery....Maybe good , maybe not?
I have read about batteries that would only last for 1 hr after a year of use so luck is an issue too.
