Apparently my service got upgraded, not downgraded, because my machine is at the depot in town. Too bad today is Saturday.

laptop arrived last week, but I wasn't in town. Start playing with it yesterday for the first time. Other than all the extra preloaded junk, it's pretty good. Solidly built machine :) Working on reformating and doing a clean install right now.

smartypants, that's great!

I hope those who got quoted for a lower price remember to call them back and ask for the price adjustment. I'm pretty sure they aren't nice enough to automatically refund you unless you call and ask for it. I finally got around to doing it today. My quote expires in 3 days.

I just emailed after the machine arrived; it took a couple of days, but the adjustment was credited.
