t43 fingerprint reader shocking

Anyone have a similiar experience where the finger print reader shocks themn by static electrcity ever time you swipe? What did you do to correct it? What was you experience?

The only times that I have had anything on my Thinkpads shock me was when I was asking for it by wearing a thick sweater and rubber-soled shoes on medium height carpet. The FPR is just slightly more prone to getting all of the static discharge because it is connected to the internals below the palmrest covering (which provides some insulation).
